So I felt that I should say this. Just now, Vin Diesel's status popped up. At first I was like "Why is Vin Deisel talking to me?" And then I realized it was a status update. I clicked the accompanied picture to look, and it was a picture of him, I assume on set, at a nice road by a beach(I think). And then I read some of the comments(As there were a lot). Pretty much every one of them said "OMGVINDIESELYOU'RESOHOTAMAZINGCOOLBLAHBLAHBLAHMARRYMEBLAHOMGITSVINDEISEL!!!!!!!!!"
I actually almost smacked my computer for showing me such annoying nonsense. Now, I don't know how he feels about it, but if I was that famous, I'd actually feel sad when I got that response each time I posted something. It's like people are just saying "Yeah, Vin Deisel is my friend on FB" when in actuality, they're not friends at all, simply part of his fanbase on FB. They're not trying to be friends, they're just being little screechy fangirls.
On the status, it said "I got a good feeling about this summer. P.s. All love..." A real friend would have responded simply "Much love to you too" or inserted a personal joke about something like "Hahaha that's what my mom just said about the new pool boy!" Not "PLEASEMARRYMEANYTIMEYOUWANT"
In my opinion, since when I was younger I was almost an actress(longstorydon'taskplease), I would immediately unfriend those people. Sure, it may be simply my fan page, but I would eventually grow tired of seeing that every time i posted anything under the sun on my page. Fan-dom is NOT Friend-dom.
I just remembered the time I cried when Peter Facinelli shook my hand when he was in Virginia Beach doing a blood drive promotion. I went with my little sister and one of my besties, and during that moment I was just one of those fangirls... So now I see how bad it is to BE a fangirl. Peter Facinelli, I'm sorry I couldn't greet you the proper way, with a correct handshake and me introducing myself. And Vin Diesel, I hope your fans really aren't screeching cats in heat when they truly do meet you.
That is all.
